Catherine M. Bowers – Founder, President
Catherine is a partner at the law firm of Walker Jones, PC in Warrenton. She earned her BA from the University of Virginia and JD from the George Washington University National Law Center. Catherine has been practicing law in Virginia for over 20 years and is licensed to practice in Virginia, Washington DC and Kentucky. She serves as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem for children in the foster care system and has been a foster parent since 2001. Catherine is married to John Rethman, DVM and is an EAGALA certified Equine Specialist.
Julian H. “Marty” Martin, Jr.
Marty is in his eleventh year of service as pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church in Warrenton. Prior to becoming a pastor, Reverend Martin served in the United States Army as an infantry and intelligence officer for 26 years. Prior to retiring as a colonel in 1998, Colonel Martin had many command and staff opportunities and was a major project manager at the Pentagon. His education includes a Bachelors Degree in Business with a major in Marketing from Virginia Tech, a Masters Degree in Personnel Management with concentration in organizational effectiveness from Central Michigan University, a Masters Degree in International Financial Management from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary.
Robin C. Nida – Treasurer
Robin is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia. She has over twenty years of accounting experience, eleven of which have been focused on not-for-profit organizations. She is currently with the accounting firm of Scheulen, Patchett & Edwards, P.C. in Warrenton.
Susan Cruz – Secretary
Susan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years in practice. She has extensive experience working with children with emotional and physical disabilities. Susan loves animals and is the proud owner of 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 alpacas.
