All participants (and their legal guardians if under age 18) need to sign a Release and Waiver of Liability before they can participate in equine activities.
Individuals who wish to volunteer with children will need to complete the National Criminal Background Check and Virginia Department of Social Services Background Check forms and return them to Catherine Bowers with a check for $33 payable to Sparrows Rest to cover the background check fees. Volunteers will also need to get a fingerprint card from Catherine and go down to the local Sheriff’s Department to be fingerprinted and return that as well.
